Abstract

The rare alumophosphates found in the Pugachivka sandstones of the Volyn megablock (Ukrainian Shield) are described. In addition to previously discovered gorceixite, about 30 crys-tals of florencite (up to 0.2 mm) and micrograins of intermediate composition between cran-dallite and goyazite (hamlinite) have been found. Such segregations occur in microfragments in a mixture with the micron segregations of yttrium phosphate. There are numerous growths of gorceixite and florencite with monazite.
