The deposits of industrial amber in Ukraine are located in sedimentary rocks of Oligocene. Lithological characteristics of amber-bearing deposits in section and in the area of distribution are variable. They indicate to shallowness pool of sedimentation and determine the conditions for the accumulation of amber.
