ACADEMICIAN YEVHEN LAZARENKO’S TWELFTH SCIENTIFIC READINGS

Abstract

Information on the Twelfth Scientific Readings named after Academician Yevhen Lazarenko on the topic “Mineralogy of Ukraine: current state and prospects” is provided. The Readings took place on December 14, 2022 at the Faculty of Geology of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. They were timed to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist. A collec-tion of materials containing 27 papers from various areas of mineralogical science has been pub-lished before the Readings. Three meetings were planned in a mixed plenary-distance format, at which 21 oral and nine poster presentations were expected to be heard and discussed. Unfortunately, due to the martial law, in particular, periodic blackouts of the Faculty, it was possible to hold only one plenary ses-sion, in which more than 50 people took part. In the end, the participants of the Readings listened to five reports, got acquainted with one poster report and made discussions. We cherish the hope that the next Readings will take place in liberated, independent Ukraine and will be hosted, as usual, by the magical Transcarpathia region.
