TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN PALEONTOLOGY AND STRATIGRAPHY (IMPORTANT INTERNATIONAL EVENTS 2019)

Information on important international paleontology and stratigraphic forums took place during 2019 is provided. The history of these forums is briefly described. The general session topics of the 19th International Congress on the Carboniferous and Permian (Cologne, Germany) and the 13th International Symposium on Fossil Cnidaria and Porifera (Modena, Italy) are covered in more detail. The most important directions of modern paleontology and stratigraphy development are indicated.
