MALACOLOGICAL JUSTIFICATION OF STRATIGRAPHY OF THE JURASSIC OF THE OUTER ZONE OF THE PRECARPATHIAN FOREDEEP ON THE FOSSILS OF BOREHOLE CORE

Abstract

Stratification and correlation of Jurassic deposits of the Precarpathians, occured in large depths, are reasoned unsuffiently because of rare finds of biological remains in theam. In the present paper new data on comparatively rich both in species, and in quantitative attitude, complexes of bivalve and cephalopoda mollusks are given. They were found in the Middle Jurassic terrigenic deposits (Kokhanivka suit), exposed in the basement of north-west part of the External (Bilshe-Volytsa) zone of the Precarpathian Foredeep by the following wells: Yyriyivska - 1, 2, Podilci - 1, 2, Romanivska - 1
